Chair, Mark Sarkisian

Mark Sarkisian is a Structural Engineering Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, one of the world’s most notable architecture and engineering firms.  He has dedicated his career to inventing structural components and systems that result in higher performance and low environmental impact.  He is an educator and researcher with collaborations with some of the world’s most important institutions focused on design.  His education included a combination of engineering and the arts.  Throughout his career he has been committed to supporting the same.

Co Vice-Chair and Secretary, Ellen Sarkisian

Ellen Sarkisian is an Instructional Specialist at Denver Public Schools. Her work is focused on facilitating co-learning to critically examine root causes of inequity and developing collaborative solutions that lead to personal, communal, and societal well-being.  She has an undergraduate degree in communications and education from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in the science of education from Northwestern University.

Co Vice-Chair and Treasurer, Victoria Sarkisian

Victoria Sarkisian is a practicing Graphic Designer and Educator.  Her work is focused on the theory of design and its application to iconography, branding, and the impact of visual communication.  She is also an adjunct professor, teaching the principles and theory of design.  She has an undergraduate degree in graphic design from Northeastern University and earned her master’s of fine arts degree in design from the California College of the Arts.
